482 000 establishments in Norway

481 819 establishments were registered in Norway at the beginning of October 2008. One out of four businesses were within real estate, renting and other business activities. 15 per cent of the establishments were within agriculture and forestry and 14 per cent within wholesale.

The figures are collected from the Central Register of Establishments and Enterprises at Statistics Norway.
