Scarcely half of new enterprises survived two years

Six out of ten new established enterprises in 2001 survived into 2002 and 5 out of ten survived into 2003. Amongst those who survived into 2003 the average number of people employed increased from one in 2001 to three in 2003.

The survival of new enterprises in 2002 to 2003 is at the same level as those who survived from 2001 to 2002. The average growth in the number of people employed is 1,6 persons from 2002 to 2003.
