Many enterprises have employees with board experience
In many small enterprises, especially those that are newly established, all of the employees have board experience. The highest education level of the employees in most enterprises is secondary education. Many employees own other enterprises.
In 71 per cent of the enterprises at least one employee has board experience by January 1 2006. All employees in 28 per cent of the enterprises with less than five employees have board experience. The corresponding share in newly established enterprises in 2006 is 40 per cent. All the employees in half of the newly established enterprises within real estate, renting and business activities have board experience.
The statistics includes enterprises that have employees and describes the characteristics of the employees. Employees are all persons that work for the employer more than four hours a week. Persons with more than one job may have been counted as employees in several industries. The statistics does not include owners in personally owned enterprises, i.e. proprietors in sole proprietorships and partners with joint liability and unlimited liability. |
