10 732 new enterprises

A total of 10 732 new enterprises were registered in Norway during the second quarter of 2009. This is a decrease of almost 18 per cent compared with the second quarter of 2008.

Compared with the first quarter of 2009, 1 317 fewer enterprises were registered; a decrease of 10.9 per cent. About 89 per cent of the new enterprises were newly established enterprises, the remainder were takeovers.
