10 892 new enterprises

A total of 10 892 new enterprises were registered in Norway during the third quarter of 2009. This is a decrease of 3.4 per cent compared with the third quarter of 2008.

Compared with the second quarter of 2009, 160 more enterprises were registered; an increase of 1.5 per cent.

A total of 95.6 per cent of the new enterprises are newly established enterprises, and the remaining 4.4 per cent are takeovers.
