13 445 new enterprises

A total of 13 445 new enterprises were registered in Norway during the first quarter of 2010. This implies an increase of 11.6 per cent compared with the same quarter of 2009.

Over 59 per cent of these enterprises were sole proprietorships, while nearly 27 per cent were private limited companies. The remaining enterprises are distributed among other legal forms.

The figures include all enterprises except enterprises involved in agriculture, forestry, fishing or public administration.

These figures can be found in StatBank by economic activity code, legal form, county and municipality.
