11 456 new enterprises
A total of 11 456 new enterprises were registered in Norway during the second quarter of 2010, which is an increase of 6.7 per cent compared with the second quarter of 2009.
Six out of ten of the new enterprises in the second quarter of 2010 were sole proprietorships. Twenty-eight per cent were private limited companies; an increase of 15 per cent compared with the second quarter of 2009. The third most common organisational form among the new enterprises was Norwegian division of foreign enterprise (NUF). A total of 961 NUFs were registered last quarter.
The remaining new enterprises are distributed among other legal forms.
The figures include all enterprises except enterprises involved in agriculture, forestry, fishing or public administration. These figures can be found in StatBank by economic activity code, legal form, county and municipality. |
