14 477 New enterprises
A total of 14 477 new enterprises were registered in Norway in the first quarter of 2011. This is the highest number of new enterprises since the first quarter of 2007.
Almost 88 per cent of the new enterprises were sole proprietorships and private public companies. A total of 1 273 new Norwegian divisions of foreign enterprises (NUF) were registered; a decrease of over 6 per cent compared with the first quarter of 2010.
Nearly 15 per cent of the new enterprises were within professional, scientific and technical activities.
The figures include all enterprises except enterprises involved in agriculture, forestry, fishing or public administration. These figures can be found in StatBank by economic activity code, legal form, county and municipality. |
