Rise in new enterprises

A total of 14 041 new enterprises were registered during the second quarter of 2013, an increase of 2.4 per cent compared to the same period of 2012.

The number of new private limited liability companies increased by 1.3 per cent from the second quarter of 2012.

Most new enterprises were registered within construction (15.9 per cent), scientific and technical activities (13.6 per cent) and retail trade (11.6 per cent).

The figures include all new enterprises except enterprises within agriculture, forestry, fishing and public administration. These figures can be found in StatBank by economic activity, legal form, county and municipality.
