More new enterprises

A total of 14 380 new enterprises were registered in the 2nd quarter of 2015. This is an increase of 2.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.

From the 2nd quarter of 2014 to the 2nd quarter of 2015, the number of new sole proprietorships increased by 8.4 per cent. During the same period, the number of new registered private limited liability companies decreased by 4.4 per cent. Sole proprietorships accounted for 56 per cent of all enterprises in the 2nd quarter of 2015 and private limited liability companies accounted for 41 per cent.

Most new enterprises were registered within construction (15 per cent), scientific and technical activities (14 per cent) and retail trade (11.5 per cent).

The figures include all new enterprises except enterprises within agriculture, forestry, fishing and public administration.
