Massive increase in bankruptcies
In the first quarter of 2009, the number of bankruptcies was 1 418. This is a rise of 88 per cent compared with the same period last year.
The number of bankruptcies went up in all counties. The county of Oslo had the largest rise, with 96 bankruptcies more than in the first quarter of 2008.
New industrial classification implemented from January 2009As of January 2009, a new version of Eurostat’s industrial classification, NACE, has been in use to classify enterprises and establishments. In these statistics this entails a more detailed presentation of enterprises by economic activity in tables and in StatBank. The new standard of industrial classification is presented here . |
