The operating profit margin for listed enterprises was 14.7 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2007, which was a record low since 2004. The operating profit margin declined from 18.0 per cent in the third quarter of 2007 and from 16.0 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2006.

The operating profit and the operating profit margin were lower in all quarters of 2007compared to the corresponding quarters of 2006, when listed enterprises performed best.
