Falling profits for listed enterprises

The operating profit margin for listed enterprises was lower in the 3rd quarter of 2008 than in the previous quarter and in the 3rd quarter of 2007. In addition, the enterprises had considerable deficits in financial items, resulting in the smallest operating result before tax in many years. The operating margin of 12.1 per cent for the listed enterprises was the lowest since 2003.
