Listed enterprises doing better

Operating profit for listed enterprises rose from NOK 43 billion in the fourth quarter of 2009 to NOK 53 billion in the first quarter of 2010. Operating profit margin increased from 14.4 to 17.8 per cent.

The companies had the highest operating profit since the third quarter of 2008, and fewer made losses. In the first quarter of 2010, 39 per cent of them made operating losses. The corresponding figure for the fourth quarter of 2009 was 47 per cent.
