Poor profitability for listed enterprises

The operating profit margin for listed enterprises rose 1.4 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2015 to 1.7 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2016. This was however 6 per cent lower than in the third quarter of 2016.

The operating income totalled NOK 340 billion in the fourth quarter of 2016, which was 2.6 per cent down from the fourth quarter of 2015 but 10 per cent up from the third quarter of 2016.
