Reduction in assets and liabilities abroad
During the third quarter of 2016, Norwegian non-financial enterprises reduced their total liabilities and total assets abroad, compared to the second quarter of 2016. Total liabilities decreased by 4 per cent compared to the second quarter, while total assets decreased by 3 per cent.

In numbers, this means a drop of NOK 64 billion in the value of liabilities abroad, and a drop of NOK 53 billion in the value of assets, compared to the second quarter.
Fluctuations in the value of assets and liabilities seem to follow each other through several quarters.
