NOK 60 billion increase in gross disposable income last year

Norway's gross disposable income totalled NOK 898.2 billion in 1995, up NOK 60.2 billion from the previous year, according to new preliminary national accounts figures.

Gross national income for 1995 has been calculated at NOK 910.2 billion. Net benefits and current transfers to other countries totalled NOK 12 billion. Total consumption has been calculated at NOK 648.6 billion, with 1995 gross savings for the country as a whole amounting to NOK 249.7 billion, NOK 31.6 billion higher than in 1994. The growth in Norway's 1995 gross disposable income was consequently fairly evenly distributed between consumption and gross savings.
