Enrolment at Norway's Free Faculty of Theology in the autumn of 1995 was down 12 per cent compared to the year before and all of 17 per cent lower than in 1993. There has been a particularly strong decline in the number of women students enrolled at the school. However, the overall number of students attending universities and university-level colleges continues to grow, with over 84,000 students registered in 1995, up four per cent from 1994.
