High turnover in retail trade

Norway's volume of retail trade exclusive of motor vehicles and gasoline rose by eight per cent from October 1995 to October 1996. Only the volume of December sales exceeds that of October this year. The volume of retail trade in October this year is four per cent higher than October 1986, which had been the highest outside December trade until now. The price index went up by 1.1 per cent during the same period.
