The sub-index that rose most in the period from May 1998 to June 1998 was the sub-index for stone, clay and cement work. In this time period, the total material costs and building costs for this partial index increased by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent respectively.
From May 1998 to June 1998 the total building costs and material costs for detached houses, row houses and multi-dwelling houses increased by 0.1 percent.
From June 1997 to June 1998 the total building costs increased by 3 percent for both row houses and multi-dwelling houses and by 2.8 percent for detached houses. In the same period the total material costs rose by 2.8 percent for multi-dwelling houses, 2.5 percent for row houses and 2.3 percent for detached houses.
