The indicator shows the counties' net operating expenses for public transport in NOK per capita. Public transport includes bus (function 730), boat routes (function 732) and subway and tram (function 734). Net operating expenses: Operating expenses including depreciation after operating revenues (earmarked subsidies from the state and other direct income) are deducted. The remaining expenses must be covered by the free income such as tax revenues, transfers from the government etc. Data source: Data from the county accounts and the accounts of county municipalities (FKF), inter-municipal cooperatives and inter municipalities (IKS). Population: Number of inhabitants in the counties at the end of the year. Data source: Statistics Norway's population statistics.
