Growth in the Norwegian economy, which was constrained through 2023 and 2024 by high inflation and subsequent interest rate increases, has picked up so far this year. Although still appreciably higher than the target of 2 per cent, inflation has been falling in recent years and is substantially lower than the peak in October 2022.
Foreign guest nights increase by almost 20 per cent
There were 3.3 million guest nights at commercial accommodation establishments in May, the highest number ever registered for the month of May. There was a particularly large increase in foreign guest nights compared to the same month last year.
Salmon price in the period of June 23rd – June 29th
In the period of June 23rd – June 29th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 68.74 per kilo, down by 9.9 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.
