The conflict in the Middle East has pushed up prices for energy and commodities. Coupled with continued high wage growth, this is buoying up inflation and will result in a further interest rate hike this year.

According to the main projection alternative, Norway’s demographic development is expected to continue along well-established trajectories: the population will grow, urbanization persists, and the population is ageing.

In the main alternative of the projections, the population grows from just over 5.6 million people today to 5.75 million in 2030, 6.2 million in 2050 and almost 6.4 million in 2100.

The seafood industry encompasses fisheries-related R&D and aquaculture R&D across all three R&D-performing sectors: the business enterprise sector, the institute sector, and the higher education sector.
