Upturn in manufacturing employment in most counties



The manufacturing and mining industries had 7,300 more employees in 1994 compared to the year before, an increase of nearly three percent. Employment in most counties increased and added value and investments also went up.

Added value in the Norwegian manufacturing and mining sectors, measured in terms of the market prices of processed goods, increased by nearly seven percent to close to 105 billion Norwegian kroner in 1994. Gross value of production increased by nine percent to almost NOK 346 billion.
