Assessed taxes increase NOK 10 billion

Preliminary Norwegian figures for the income year 1995 show that the total assessed taxes for personal taxpayers increased by 7.4 per cent from the year before. Assessed direct and indirect taxes totalled NOK 133 billion for the income year 1994 and NOK 143 billion in 1995.

There has been relatively stable growth in total assessed taxes for personal taxpayers in recent years. From 1992 to 1993 total direct and indirect taxes increased 5.7 per cent. From 1993 to 1994 the comparative increase was 7.1 per cent.
