The number of workers rose by 1.9 per cent from 1994 to 1995 for the country as a whole. Growth was the highest in Aust-Agder and More og Romsdal, with respectively 3.8 and 3.2 per cent. Østfold, Akershus, Oslo, Buskerud, Vestfold and Vest-Agder also reported increases that were higher than the country as a whole.
Of Norway's counties, Aust-Agder and Møre og Romsdal reported the highest growth in the number of workers from 1994 to 1995. The lowest percentage increases were reported by Rogaland and Nordland, according to figures from Statistics Norway's employee statistics by place of work in fourth quarter 1995.
