IT in the schools, 1997:

Fewer pupils per PC

The ratio of students per PC in Norwegian primary and secondary schools has improved significantly since 1995. In primary schools, there are 22 pupils per PC available to students, while the ratio in lower secondary and combined primary and lower secondary schools is 16 to one, and six to one in upper secondary school.
Measured in terms of the total number of PCs in schools in 1997, the ratio drops to 14 pupils per PC in primary schools, nearly 11 pupils in lower secondary and combined primary and lower secondary schools and four pupils in upper secondary schools. The results show that PC availability has improved in all types of schools since 1995, with the most improvement seen in primary and upper secondary schools.
