The main commodity, timber imports, amounted to 490 cubic metres valued at NOK 6.9 million. Other imports included NOK 1.1 million worth of cotton shirts NOK 1.3 million worth of furniture.
Norway imported NOK 10.1 million of worth of goods from Burma from January to November this year, with timber accounting for the vast majority.
Imports from January to November last year totalled NOK 8.4 million. This means that total imports from January to November this year have increased 20.2 per cent compared to the same period last year.
The only merchandise exported by Norway to Burma this year is NOK 1.1 million worth of armoured safes.
