Female managers attended most courses
In the second quarter 2004 female managers attended most courses, seminars, conferences etc. with the intention of improving their job skills. 26 per cent of all female managers took part in such activities, while the rate for men was 20 per cent.
Of all employed persons 14 per cent had participated in such activities in the last four weeks. The participation rate for employed men was 13 per cent and the rate for women was 14 per cent. This is at the same level as in the second quarter of 2003. If we extend the period from four weeks to 12 months, as was done last year, the rate increases to 45 per cent for all employed persons.
