The municipality of Oslo is not included in preliminary 2012 figures due to data quality problems. These problems arose when the municipality changed one of their computer systems and experienced difficulties in autumn 2012 with reporting to The Central Register of Employers and Employees. This register is the primary data source for employment statistics. As a consequence, the municipality of Oslo is excluded when we compare changes from 2011 to 2012 in the sections below.
Increase in nursing and care services
Taking into account services bought from private enterprises or inter-municipal companies in nursing and care services, preliminary figures show that contracted man-years in nursing and care increased by 3 200 man-years, or 2.7 per cent, from the 4th quarter of 2011 to the 4th quarter of 2012.
