Wage index, Q3 2007, preliminary figures

Monthly average earnings include basic salaries, irregular payments and bonuses. Wage increases like bonuses are seldom paid each period, which means that the indexes are subject to higher fluctuations than the index for basic salaries. Overtime pay is not included in the statistics.
