Highest growth in loans to employees in Sør-Trøndelag

Total loans from banks and mortgage companies to employees in Norwegian counties increased by 7.0 per cent in 2016 to NOK 2 473 billion. Sør-Trøndelag county had the strongest growth at 9.7 per cent.

At the end of 2016, loans from banks and mortgage companies to employees in Sør-Trøndelag county amounted to NOK 155 billion. This is an increase from NOK 142 billion the previous year.
Weakest growth in loans in Rogaland county
In 2016, the growth in loans from banks and mortgage companies to employees was weakest in Rogaland county, at 3.4 per cent. These loans amounted to NOK 258 billion by the end of the year, and made up a share of 10.4 per cent of the total loans by county to employees.
Largest share of loans in Oslo
Loans to employees in Oslo made up the largest share of the total loans to employees, with 15.2 per cent. Loans from banks and mortgage companies to employees in Oslo amounted to NOK 376 billion at the end of 2016, up from NOK 343 billion at end of 2015. This corresponds to an annual growth of 9.4 per cent in 2016.
