Increase in bond issues
In 2005, total bonds issued on the Norwegian market amounted to NOK 151.9 billion, an increase of NOK 26.2 billion or 20.9 per cent compared with 2004.
Measured by the amount in issue, bank bonds dominate, with 45.8 per cent of the total. Total bond debt amounted to NOK 593.1 billion, an increase of NOK 59.7 billion or 11.2 per cent.
The banks increased their total bond debt with NOK 26.3 billion or 14.5 per cent. Banks debt amounted to 35 per cent of the total bond debt on the Norwegian market.
Central government had a strong increase as well, but the sector of other state enterprises had the largest decrease in debt of bonds in 2005.
