In May 2016, the Debt securities statistics were merged with the statistics for Securities registered with the Norwegian Central Securities Depository. The new merged statistics are known as the Securities statistics.

Increased issue of bonds

The issue of bonds increased by 22 per cent in the second quarter of 2004 compared with the corresponding quarter in 2003. The value of commercial papers issued in Norway in the period was NOK 77.5 billion, while the issue of bonds and commercial papers abroad amounted to NOK 83.8 billion.
