In May 2016, the Debt securities statistics were merged with the statistics for Securities registered with the Norwegian Central Securities Depository. The new merged statistics are known as the Securities statistics.

Strong increase in bond issues

From the second quarter of 2005 to the second quarter of 2006 there was a NOK 22.7 billion increase in bond issues. The value of commercial papers issued in Norway in the period was NOK 53.7 billion, while the issue of bonds and commercial papers abroad amounted to NOK 204.9 billion.
