The population has increased with 40 915 persons in 2006
Per 1 January 2007 the resident population in Norway was 4 681 134 persons. In 2006 the population increased with 40 915 persons. The relative population increase was 0.88 per cent. The net migration to Norway was 23 727 persons while the excess of births over deaths was 17 292 persons.
