Increase in civil engineering works
The inflow of new orders received for civil engineering works increased strongly during the fourth quarter of 2011. The construction industries’ value of company reserves for civil engineering works is now at a record high level.
The value of company reserves for civil engineering works is 54 per cent higher at the end of the fourth quarter of 2011 compared with the corresponding period in the previous year. The total reserves for the industry as a whole have increased by 30 per cent compared with the end of 2010, measured in current values.
Increased inflow of building projects
The value of new housing projects that companies in the construction industry received during the fourth quarter of 2011 was 25 per cent higher compared with the same period in 2010. The company reserves are 42 per cent higher at the end of 2011 compared with the same time a year before.
The inflow of new orders of new commercial buildings increased by 20 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2011 compared with the same quarter in 2010. The value of the companies' reserves is 15 per cent higher than at the end of 2010, measured in current value.
Stable inflow of renovation projects
The inflow of renovation projects remained stable in 2011, both in the residential and commercial building market. And at the end of 2011, the value of the companies' reserves is at the same level as a year before.
