Reduced investments in 2001
Estimates for the investment activity show a 7 per cent reduction in 2001 compared with this year, according to Statistics Norway's investment survey for the 3. Quarter covering Manufacturing, Mining and Quarrying and Electricity supply. Estimates for 2000 are NOK 18.5 billion.
The expected level of investments for the year 2001 is 7 per cent lower than the corresponding figures for 2000. Reduced investments next year are reported by the manufacturing industry, while figures for investments in the electricity sector are estimated to be the same.
Investment estimates for the year 2000 given by the establishments covered in the survey are NOK 18.5 billion. This is on about the same level that was reported for 1999 at the same time last year. Figures for manufacturing and quarrying are 14.1 billion, while the electricity sector reports 4.4 billion.
