High investments expected also in 2003
Estimates for 2003 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply indicate a lower level of investment than in the current year. Estimates for 2002 seem more or less to confirm the results recorded in the previous survey.
Total investments covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply are expected to amount to about NOK 21.1 billion - in current value. This is a slight decline from the August survey, but still noticeably higher than the corresponding figures for 2001. Considerable growth in investments within certain industries contributes heavily to the high result.
Estimates for 2003 have grown 13 per cent since the previous survey and are expected to amount to NOK 18.6 billion. This is a moderate decline compared with corresponding figures for 2002, but still a fairly high level of investment.
