High estimates for 2007

Estimates for 2007 indicate a further increase in total investments. This is due to expectations of higher investments in manufacturing and electricity supply.

Total investments in 2006 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply are expected to come to approximately NOK 34.1 billion - measured in current value. This is a 19 per cent increase compared with the corresponding figures for 2005. Estimates for 2007 are 15 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2006. This is due to expectations of a significant rise in investments in manufacturing and electricity supply.

New calculations for the May and August surveys

A change in the industry classification of a major investment project has made it necessary to re-calculate the May and August surveys. The change affects the industries non-metallic mineral products, basic metals and the total aggregate for manufacturing.
