High estimates for 2008

Estimates for 2008 show strong growth in total investments in manufacturing. This is due to several large projects.

Estimated investments 1989-2007 collected 4. quarter same year. Mill. current NOK

Total investments in 2007 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply are expected to come to approximately NOK 40.7 billion - measured in current value. This is a 19 per cent increase compared with the corresponding figures for 2006. Estimates for 2008 are 29 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2007. This is mostly due to several large projects in the sector refined petroleum products and chemicals and chemical products.
