Sales of petroleum products and liquid biofuels, August 2006, preliminary figures

All through 2006 the sales of motor gasoline has decreased while the sales of auto diesel has increased. This continues though August. Total sales of motor gasoline ended at 193 million liters, a decrease by 3.5 per cent compared to August 2005. Sales of auto diesel increased by 8.2 percent, from 223 million litres sold in August 2005 to 241 litres in August 2006. Sale of motor gasoline and auto diesel makes out 49.4 per cent of the total sale of petroleum products.

Sales of heating and lighting kerosene increased by 22.3 per cent and sales of Light heating oils increased by 12,8 per cent in August 2006 compared to August 2005.

In July total sales of jet fuel ended at 90 million litres, an increase by 11.1 per cent compared to the same period last year.

There were 23 delivery days in July, the same as in July 2006.
