Compared with 2005, sales of auto diesel increased by 9 per cent in 2006, while sales of motor gasoline increased by 3.9 per cent. This means that the trend in recent years continues. Total sales in December 2006 came to 728 million litres, a decrease of 6.2 per cent compared with December 2005. All petroleum products experienced a decrease in this period, with the exception of auto diesel and heavy fuel oil. This decrease can be explained by the number of delivery days.
