Lower sales of petroleum products
In the first three months of 2012, sales of petroleum products totalled 2.3 billion litres. This equals a 1.2 per cent decrease compared to the first quarter of 2011.
Sales of light heating oils and heating and lighting kerosene had a 39.4 per cent decrease compared to the same period last year. Total sales ended at 117 million litres in the first quarter of 2012.
Sales of auto diesel ended at 859 million litres, which is a 3 per cent increase compared to the first quarter of 2011. For the same period, sales of motor gasoline ended at 324 million litres; a 5.7 per cent decrease. The total sales of auto diesel and motor gasoline constituted only a 0.4 increase from the first quarter in 2011 to the first quarter in 2012.
March 2012
In March this year, total sales of petroleum products ended at 793 million litres; a 1.1 per cent increase compared to March last year.
Sales of auto diesel amounted to about 36 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products and ended at 288 million litres. This equals a decrease of 1.6 per cent or 5 million litres. Simultaneously, sales of motor gasoline decreased by 6.4 per cent and ended at 111 million litres; 8 million litres less than in March last year. Sales of motor gasoline amounted to 14 per cent of total sales of petroleum products.
Delivery daysThere were 22 delivery days in March this year, and in March 2011 there were 23. |
