Small increase in total sales of petroleum products
In May , total sales of petroleum products ended at 840 million litres; an increase of 9 million litres or 1.1 per cent compared to May last year.
In May, sales of auto diesel ended at 312 million litres; a 5.7 per cent increase or 17 million litres more than in May 2011. For the same period, sales of motor gasoline decreased by 1.2 per cent or 2 million litres and total sales ended at 131 million litres. For the products together, there is an increase in sales of 3.6 per cent or 15 million litres. Sales of auto diesel and motor gasoline amounted to 53 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.
Sales of jet fuel ended at 91 million litres in May; 1 million litres or 1 per cent less than in May 2011. Sales of marine gas oils and diesel account for 19 per cent of total sales of petroleum products. In May, sales ended at 159 million litres; a 2.4 per cent increase.
There were 20 delivery days in May 2012, compared to 21 in May 2011. |
