Decrease in August sales
Total sales of petroleum products ended at 802 million litres in August, which is an 8.2 per cent decrease. Sales of all petroleum products decreased compared to August 2011, with the exception of sales of auto diesel.
Sales of auto diesel ended at 311 million litres; an increase of just under 1 million litres. At the same time, sales of motor gasoline decreased by 12 million litres, with sales ending at 129 million litres.
Overall, sales of auto diesel and motor gasoline decreased by 2.4 per cent or 11 million litres, and amounted to 440 million litres in August this year.
Prices of both auto diesel and motor gasoline increased. One litre of 95 octane unleaded gasoline cost NOK 14.83; an increase of NOK 0.77, while one litre of auto diesel cost on average NOK 13.14; NOK 0.05 more than one year ago.
Other products
In August, sales of marine gas oil and diesel ended at 159 million litres; a 2.8 per cent decrease.
The sales of heating and lighting kerosene and light heating oils amounted to 16 million litres. This is a decrease of 20 per cent compared to August 2011. Sales of Jet Fuel ended at 61 million litres, which is a 28.7 per cent decrease.
Delivery daysThere were 23 delivery days in August this year, the same as in August 2011. |
