Sales of petroleum products and liquid biofuels, October 2011, preliminary figures

Total sales of auto diesel ended at 312 million litres; an increase of 16 million litres or 5.5 per cent. Sales of auto diesel made up 37 per cent of total sales of petroleum products. In October this year, one litre of auto diesel cost on average NOK 13.02; 1.17 NOK more than in October last year.

Sales of motor gasoline ended at 123 million litres; a 5.9 per cent or about 8 million litres decrease. One litre of 95 octane unleaded gasoline cost on average NOK 13.95, and one litre of 98 octane unleaded gasoline cost NOK 14.44; an increase of 1.38 NOK and 1.46 NOK respectively.

The sales of heating and lighting kerosene and light heating oils amounted to 35 million litres. This is a decrease of 19.6 per cent or 8.6 million litres compared to October 2010. Sales of marine gas oil and diesel ended at 168 million litres; a 7 per cent increase. In October, sales of Jet Fuel ended at 83 million litres, which is an increase of 3 per cent.
