Small increase in petroleum product sales
In February 2012, the total sales of petroleum products ended at 736 million litres. This is a small increase of 1.8 per cent compared to February 2011.
In February, the sales of auto diesel ended at 284 million litres. This equals an increase of 5.2 per cent, or 14 million litres compared to February 2011. Simultaneously, the sales of motor gasoline decreased by 5 per cent and ended at 105 million litres. This is 5.3 million litres less than in February last year. Sales of auto diesel and gasoline amounted to 39 and 14 per cent of total sales of petroleum products respectively.
Other products
The sales of heating and lighting kerosene and light heating oils amounted to 45 million litres. This is a decrease of 19 million litres or 29.5 per cent compared to February 2011.
Sales of marine gas oil and diesel amounted to 20 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products in February. Sales ended at 144 million litres. This is a 9.7 per cent increase compared to February 2011. The sales of jet fuel increased by 2.3 per cent and ended at 70.6 million litres.
Delivery daysThere were 21 delivery days in February this year, compared with 20 in February 2011. |
