Lower sales in February

In February this year, the total sales of petroleum products ended at 702 million litres. This is a decrease of 4.6 per cent compared to February 2012.

In February, the sales of auto diesel and motor gasoline decreased by 2.9 per cent or almost 12 million litres compared to February 2012. Sales of motor gasoline decreased by 10 million litres. Simultaneously, the sales of auto diesel decreased by 2 million litres. Sales of auto diesel amounted to 40 per cent of total sales of petroleum products, while sales of motor gasoline amounted to 14 per cent of total sales.

Other products

The sales of heating and lighting kerosene and light heating oils ended at 45 million litres in February this year, a decrease of 8.1 per cent.

Sales of marine gas oil and diesel amounted to 21 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products. Sales ended at 145 million litres. This is a small decrease of 0.4 per cent compared to February 2012. The sales of jet fuel decreased by 0.5 per cent and ended at 71 million litres.
