Decrease in sales of petroleum products

Total sales of petroleum products ended at 827 million litres in August. This is 10 million litres less than in August 2012 and equals a 1.2 per cent decrease.

Total sales of auto diesel ended at 323 million litres, which is 12 million litres more than in August last year. At the same time, sales of motor gasoline decreased by 9 million litres, ending at 120 million litres. Sales of motor gasoline and auto diesel combined made up almost 54 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.

The average price for one litre of motor gasoline was NOK 15.07; a NOK 0.24 increase from August 2012. One litre of auto diesel cost NOK 13.29; NOK 0.15 more than August last year.

There were 22 delivery days in August this year, compared to 23 in 2012.
