Decrease in sales in December

Total sales of petroleum products ended at 720 million litres in December. This is 10 million litres fewer than in December 2012, which corresponds to a 1.4 per cent decrease.

Total sales of motor gasoline ended at 99 million litres, which is 4.7 million litres fewer than in November 2012. At the same time, sales of auto diesel increased by 7.6 million litres, ending at 313 million litres. Sales of motor gasoline and auto diesel combined made up about 57 per cent of the total sales of petroleum products.

The average price for one litre of auto diesel was NOK 13.34; a NOK 0.45 increase from December 2012. One litre of motor gasoline cost NOK 14.68; NOK 0.46 more than in December last year.

There were 20 delivery days in December 2013, compared to 19 in December 2012.
